Elvira
Elvira is an early strawberry variety that grows well under plastic tunnels. The crop is low and open with very tasty fruits. Elvira has a moderate growth rate and has an open type of plant with fairly short petioles. The flowering time of Elvira is mid-season and produces fairly large flowers with well-developed stamens. Elvira’s productivity is very good. The low open crop is also conducive to picking performance. The fruits are large, even and cone-shaped. They are glossy bright red with sunken yellow and red seeds. The fruits are firm and jucy.

Elvira is susceptible to (Sphaerotheca macularis); semi susceptible for (Phytophthora fragariae); a little susceptible (Botrytis cienera) and wilt diseases (Verticillium Dahliae).
