Frühlim

Frühlim is an early asparagus variety that is suitable for the cultivation of white asparagus. The stems are very uniform and the weight is good.

Cultivation

Frühlim grows well on sandy soils that are well drained, with a planting density of 3.5 or 4 plants/m² and a planting depth of 16-20 cm. Frühlim is easy to harvest early by cultivating them in a tunnel or with thermal foil. Production remains good, even though the stems are harvested earlier.

Plant properties

Frühlim is very productive and has a good quality stems. The stems are thick, hardly sensitive to concaves or breaks and the tip closure is good.

Disease and pest resistance

The plants are strong against foliar diseases and the stems are not susceptible to rust.
