Herkolim
Herkolim is an asparagus variety that is suitable for the cultivation of white asparagus. The production is very good and the stems are of good quality.
Cultivation
Herkolim grows well in well-drained soils, with a planting density of 5 – 6 plants/m² and a planting depth of 18-22 cm. A high planting density ensures thinner stems, but also more uniform growth. The plants can withstand stress conditions well, so they have no problem when they are replanted. Herkolim grows well under black and white foil.
Plant properties
Herkolim has good quality stems that are straight and smooth and have few problems with hollowness or pink discolouration.
Disease and pest resistance
Because of the open foliage that dries quickly, Herkolim has little to no problems with fungi.
